My name is Kelvin Bailey. I established Pantry Maid in December 2004, but the concept of canned food rotation was on my mind since 1993. In that year, my wife asked if I could come up with a way to make rotating and organizing her canned goods easier. And that's how I came up with the original Can Organizer. However, the original unit I built was as a cabinet unit made of metal shelves, wood framing, and wheels for mobility purposes.
This functioned very well for years and for our family needs, but the idea of making something more functional for the average homemaker did not develop until the early hours of the morning in October 2004. The design and materials needed to develop what you see today took the next couple of months, but finally, the finished product was introduced into the market place in late December 2004. It met with immediate success since so many people were looking for a better way to manage their canned foods.
The Can Organizer unit was designed to meet the needs of any homemaker, young or old, in any home, whether it be an apartment or a small or large house. The Can Organizer is ideal for a pantry, on a kitchen counter, and/or in a kitchen cabinet.
I still continue to find better ways to design, manufacture, and market Can Organizer units to make them more affordable and functional for every homeowner today.
